About Us
Video Counselling Australia was founded by Dr Tracie O'Keefe, DCH, a clinical hypnotherapist, psychotherapist and counsellor, originally from England and now living in Sydney. Tracie worked for many years at the London Medical Centre in Harley Street, before coming to Sydney in 2001 where she is the clinical and educational director of the Australian Health & Education Centre in Glebe. With the advent of G3 mobile technology, together with broadband videophone and ISDN videophone technology, the future is one where, instead of just talking on the phone and hearing the other person's voice, we can see the person too. Most of us are leading busy lives in a 24/7 technology-driven society. Video counselling is an excellent option for anyone seeking help but who is unable, for whatever reason, to attend a therapist's clinic in person.
